People focus on the baby outcome of the perinatal stage of life. But the truth is, there could be many outcomes, some are not always welcomed or joyous. This stage of life can be quite complicated and overwhelming. Which is why, I have dedicated my time and counseling practice to it.
The Perinatal Journey is characterized by the stage in one’s like that is encompassed of fertility, pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period (early parenthood). During this time, families experience a great amount of stress and adjustment to the constant changes of their lives.
It’s important to have a voice that can assist in advocating for healthy relationships, coping skills, and patterns to assist in achieving lasting connections and healthy families.
My goal is help people navigate their fertility and / or perinatal journey so they can go on to enjoy their time with the family they’ve created. Through counseling services I help process the emotional impact of generation trauma, traumatic fertility, pregnancy, and birth experiences, difficult relationships, and perinatal mood disorders including postpartum depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I assist individuals and couples in restoring connections, building coping skills, and processing upsetting events while building knowledge and other necessary skills to help you through tough moments.
